The Prolinnova community of practice and its partners in Prolinnova–Cameroon are holding a Farmer Innovation Fair in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on 27–29 May 2021. This event brings together stakeholders in agricultural research and development (ARD) to learn about and contribute to promoting processes of local innovation and farmer-led participatory innovation development (PID) in agriculture and natural resource management. It is presented in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture in Cameroon.

The main aims of the fair (FIPAC as French acronym) are:

Le samedi, 15 mai 2021, s’est tenu à Parakou au Nord-Bénin l’atelier de mise en place d’une plateforme multi-acteurs de promotion de l’innovation locale et du développement participatif d’innovation (DPI) du Bénin.

Annual report 2020 from West & Central Africa

 

As part of the regionalisation process within the Prolinnova network, two subregional coordinators (SRCs) were appointed part-time in Africa, with funding through the SULCI-FaNS (Scaling Up Local Capacity to Innovation for Food and Nutrition Security) project. In the West & Central Africa subregion, Abdel-Karim Ali Mahamane started work as the new SRC in April 2020, taking over from Georges Djohy.
